A new accessible learning environment for the University of Roehampton

Our approach

The University of Roehampton, located in southwest London, prioritizes student experience and engagement, ensuring a supportive learning environment. The university has a strong Digital Learning department dedicated to enhancing technology for teaching and learning. This department focuses on innovation and the integration of new technologies to improve the learner’s journey.

To support its diverse student population, the university emphasizes accessibility, incorporating assistive technologies like JAWS, Zoomtext, and Texthelp Read and Write. The Digital Learning department decided to enhance its VLE three years ago, opting for Moodle due to its modern interface and flexibility. The goal was to engage students and teachers more effectively and to ensure the platform could easily integrate new products and upgrades.

CoSector – University of London was selected as the partner to implement and host Moodle, thanks to its reputation for versatility and comprehensive support. The partnership has proven successful, with CoSector providing reliable hosting services and minimal downtime. The university recently renewed its contract with CoSector, expressing satisfaction with the ongoing support and improvements.

Overall, the University of Roehampton’s commitment to accessibility, modern learning tools, and innovative digital learning solutions has been strengthened through its collaboration with CoSector – University of London.
